Murska Sobota, May 17th, 2019 – From Friday, May 31st to Sunday, June 2nd, Murska Sobota will for the third consecutive year be the host of the Middle-European Beach Volleyball Cup U18. The best young promising beach volley teams from all seven Middle-European Volleyball Zone Federation (MEVZA) countries have registered for the competition. For the first time in this competition, which will take place under the honorary patronage of the mayor of Murska Sobota, dr. Aleksander Jevšek, young beach volley teams from Israel will compete. The organizer, the Beach Volleyball Development Hub, Cona.center Murska Sobota, announces that as the guest country to compete at this international youth sport event the perspective young beach volleyball teams from Poland will come to Murska Sobota.

Od petka, 31. maja do nedelje, 2. junija bo v Murski Soboti ponovno, že tretjič zapored potekal Srednje-evropski pokal v odbojki na mivki za mlade do osemnajst let. Nastopile bodo najboljše mlade perspektivne ekipe odbojke na mivki iz vseh sedmih držav članic držav Srednje-evropske odbojkarske zveze (MEVZA). Prvič bomo na tekmovanju, ki bo potekalo pod častnim pokroviteljstvom župana Murske Sobote, dr. Aleksandra Jevška, imeli priložnost na delu videti tudi mlade ekipe iz Izraela. Organizator, razvojno vozlišče odbojke na mivki, Cona.center Murska Sobota, kot gostujočo državo napoveduje kompletno zasedbo mladih ekip odbojke na mivki iz Poljske.

In Murska Sobota this year we will again have the opportunity to see some of the most promising teams from Central Europe in the age category up to eighteen years, from the seven MEVZA countries: Austria, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Israel, Hungary, Slovakia and Slovenia for the third time in a row.
For the first time, MEVZA members will be fully represented, as the teams from Israel will also be pre-eminent in Murska Sobota. Teams from Poland will take part as the host country. The organizer announces an extremely strong performance, as a European championship in this age group will take place in mid-June in Austria, and most of the teams will take advantage of the Murska Sobota competition as a preparation for the European competition.
The qualification tournament for two wild cards per category for the right to compete at this year’s #MEVZABeachVolleyU18 will be held for all young players from the regions of Prekmurje and Prlekija on Friday, May 24th, in the afternoon, at the Open-Air Swimming Pool in Murska Sobota.
Save the date: Friday, May 31st, until Sunday, June 2nd, for the Middle-European Volleyball Zone Association (MEVZ) tournament for youth up to eighteen years, which will take place at the Open-Air Swimming pool in Murska Sobota.

20:00 – public draw (Murska republika, Hotel Zvezda).
Saturday, 1.6.:
8:30 – 19:00 main draw, Open-Air Summer Pool, Murska Sobota.
Sunday, 2.6.:
11:00 – check-out from the hotel;
8:30 – 19:00 competition for ranking from 5th to 16th place, quarter- and semi-finals, finals 3rd place, finals 1st place;
ca. 18:00 – 19:00 awarding cups and medals to the best teams;
from 17:00 on VIP reception.
